Spring into Action: SilverAssist and Oasis Senior Advisors Advocate for Alzheimer’s Awareness and Fundraising Efforts in 2025

As spring blooms and outdoor activities increase, it’s important to remember the vital health benefits of staying active, especially for seniors. Exercise is one of twelve modifiable risk factors that could potentially reduce or delay Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias by up to 40%. This highlights the importance of prioritizing physical health as we all age. With this in mind, SilverAssist is reaffirming its commitment to combating Alzheimer’s disease and supporting those affected by it – not only through their fundraising efforts, but also through their educational content and vast array of senior services.

In 2024, our team embarked on a mission to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research. Oasis Senior Advisors proudly participated as a National Team in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, contributing to 66 individual walks across the United States. Notably, one of those walks was hosted by our team from ElderLife Financial. Also in 2024, our CEO and founder, Greg Mason, an avid cyclist, took on the remarkable challenge of riding 444 miles across the Natchez Trace Parkway to generate support for Pedal for Alzheimer’s (PFA). Our collective efforts raised an impressive $89,311, significantly aiding the fight against this devastating disease.

Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited to continue our commitment to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research and support for affected families. Oasis Senior Advisors is entering its third year as a National Team in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Their goal is to surpass $100,000 in donations and increase the number of teams and walks across the country.

New this year, Greg will proudly serve as an Ambassador for Pedal for Alzheimer’s, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to organizing cycling events that raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research and care. This August, Greg is set to tackle 100 miles in the Elk River Valley Gran Fondo near Nashville, Tennessee. As the founder of SilverAssist, a company helping seniors throughout their transition to senior living, and Strambecco, a website dedicated to promoting various endurance-driven cycling races, bike tours, and outdoor recreational activities, Greg has dedicated much of his career and personal time to supporting Alzheimer’s awareness and research. Amplifying this, Greg is also driven by a personal connection to the cause.

“We are proud to have Greg as an Ambassador for Pedal for Alzheimer’s. His personal connection to the cause fuels his passion for cycling and his commitment to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, education, and support. His inspiring dedication resonates deeply with our mission.”
