SilverAssist and Oasis Senior Advisors Announce Corporate Commitment to Supporting the Fight Against Alzheimer’s Disease

Hendersonville, TN, August 20, 2024 – SilverAssist is taking a bold stance against Alzheimer’s disease, committing to two impactful initiatives in 2024. The company will join forces with the National Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Pedal for Alzheimer’s, embarking on a national team walk and an endurance cycling mission to help advance research and support those affected by this disease.

This October, Greg Mason, CEO of SilverAssist, and nine friends will set out on a challenging six-day, 444-mile ride from Mississippi to Tennessee along the Natchez Trace Parkway to raise awareness and funds for Pedal for Alzheimer’s, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable platform committed to organizing cycling events to spread awareness and raise funds for Alzheimer’s research, education, support and care. For Greg, who has lost family members to this devastating disease and carries a gene marker that raises his risk of developing Alzheimer’s, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is essential not only for his own health but also as part of a larger effort to combat the disease and support those affected by it.

In addition to this ride, Oasis Senior Advisors, a SilverAssist company, kicks off their second year as a National Team in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, committing to raise over $100,000 through dozens of localized walks coordinated by their franchise and territory locations from September to December.

Alzheimer’s disease is a growing health crisis, with nearly 7 million Americans currently living with the disease and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million in 2050Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, and it is the only disease among the top 10 that cannot be prevented, slowed, or cured. It is imperative that we come together to support those affected and accelerate research toward a cure.

Committing to this cause is important for the SilverAssist team. SilverAssist works with seniors and their families daily, providing access to valuable resources and expert advice for those looking into senior living and financial assistance. Greg comments, “Having supported hundreds of families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, SilverAssist has witnessed the struggles these families face. It’s these daily experiences that motivate us all to make a positive impact and work towards a future where no family deals with this disease alone.”

With the support of organizations like SilverAssist and Oasis Senior Advisors, we can work toward finding a cure and improving the lives of those affected by this disease.
